Gus Mendonça is an US based Freelance Concept Artist and Matte Painter for the entertainment industry with a strong focus on Film, Games, TV, Animation and Virtual Reality. Gus has dedicated his career to projects that are highly creative and that push the boundaries of visual design, technology and most importantly storytelling. During his career as a Concept Artist Gus Mendonça has designed for acclaimed franchises such as Star Wars, The Avengers, Halo, Gears of War, Dead Rising, Call of Duty and Need for Speed to mention a few.

Gus grew up in the projects of a small town in Brazil and used his passion for the arts to hone in his skills as a self-thought artist to jump-start his career that now spans for over a decade. Gus has lived in Brazil, Portugal, Canada, Japan and the US always focused on creating experiences that capture the imagination of audiences around the world.

While living in Canada Gus attended classes at Emily Carr University of Art + Design to push his skills in Industrial Design and Architecture.

Gus now lives in Seattle, Washington and continues to work with Filmmakers, Game Studios, VFX House and Production Designers helping them bring their stories and experiences to life.
